Man charged in armed robbery at Medicine Hat store

A 55-year-old man is facing a number of charges following an armed robbery New Years Day.

Police responded to a call at a convenience store located in the 500 block of Rutherford Street NW.

A lone male had entered the store, brandished a weapon, and then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A suspect was arrested and charged the next day with armed robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, disguise with intent, assault with a weapon.
