With great sorrow we announce the passing of Janet Meidinger, January 1st, 2024, after a sudden decline in health. Born January 15th, 1938, in Seven Persons, she built her life in Medicine Hat, and in retirement enjoyed spending time in Arizona.
A wife of forty years, a mother of four, grandmother of two, and great-grandmother of two, her warmth and wisdom left a lasting mark on each generation.
Janet embraced life with a vibrant spirit that touched everyone she encountered.
A gifted artist and florist, she painted vivid watercolors and created vibrant flower arrangements that mirrored the beauty she found in everyday life. You could often find Janet getting inspired with walks through Kin Coulee and Police Point Park.
With the open road beneath her motorcycle, she rode until the age of 70. She found solace and delight in riding, outdoors, playing pool and her art.
Janet was proud to be apart of the Medicine Hat Art Club and the Medicine Hat Motorcycle Club for many years.
Her fun-loving spirit and adventurous nature will be cherished and remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. She created many moments of laughter and joy for others. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration in this time of loss.
In time, Janet will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery with her beloved son Jeff Meidinger.
Memorial cards will be sent to close family and friends, if you would like one, please reach out to Jenny Kallenberger.
