Valerie Phyllis Davis passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the age of 79 years, beloved wife of Garry Davis of Medicine Hat, formerly of Oyen. She also leaves to cherish her memory her son, Stuart Davis of Medicine Hat; two grandsons, Michael Ostergard and Mitchell Ostergard; her sisters, Linda Shackleton and Sandra Talbot both of Red Deer as well as beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Betty and Phyll Hughes and her daughter, Sherry Lynn Ostergard. Valerie was born on February 4, 1944 in Red Deer and attended high school in Ponoka. Following high school, she completed her nursing aid certification in Edmonton. Valerie received awards for elocution and as a hobby enjoyed photography as well as decorating. She loved and proudly cared for her family throughout her life. A private family graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
