Catherine Isabell Hankins (neé Madill) of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 at the age of 96 years.  Catherine leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Donald (Sharon) Kipta and Richard (Carol) Kipta; daughter, Eunice (Jim) McKay; nine grand children; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace (Fred) Dube and Ruth (Bill) Shanks. Catherine was predeceased by husband, Ernest Hankins; her first husband, George Kipta, parents, Jane and George Madill; brothers, Bob Madill, Donald Madill and Gordon Madill; sisters, Margaret Dressel, Dorthey Godkin and Lorna Marks. The Memorial  Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, on Friday, June 2,  2023 at 1:00 pm  with  Pastor Shane Hein officiating. If unable to attend, family and friends are welcome to participate via livestream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on Catherine’s memorial page at the above date and time. A virtual guest book is available on the livestream page for those participating remotely.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.  Special thanks to Meadow Ridge Seniors Village staff, LPNs, and RNs for their excellent care of Catherine.
