Margaret Cyr of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the age of 89 years, beloved wife of the late George Cyr. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Betty Anne (Rick) Eisler, Wayne Cyr (Cindi) and Shauna Cyr (Lonnie); four grandchildren, Shannon Ericksen, Tanya (Tim) Erickson, Lisa (Chad) Hartley and Ashley Fritzler (her father Calvin Fritzler); eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Avelina Rose, Gert Albright and Alice (Melvin) Webster. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Sarah Dyck; two sons, David and John; three siblings in infancy, Hattie, George and Peter; one grandson Travis Fritzler; her siblings, Henry, Dave, Annie, Rose, Nettie and Suzie. Margaret was born on November 10, 1933 in Gouldtown, Saskatchewan, the fourth oldest of twelve children. She married George Cyr on August 4, 1951 in Brooks. Margaret was a hardworking lady and was very fussy about everything. She loved her family, music and dancing. Her sisters and brothers were all musical and when they were younger they got together most weekends to enjoy their music. Margaret loved to shop and looked forward to getting out for her shopping and dinner dates. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday one hour prior to service time. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating. The service will be live streamed.
