Troy William Irvine passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the age of 59 years. Troy was born in Brandon, Manitoba, on June 22, 1963. He was raised in Alexander, Manitoba until 1994, when along with his mother, he moved to Medicine Hat. Troy was an excellent swimmer having won numerous medals in the Special Olympics from the time he was 16 years old through until he was 25. He worked with Leon’s Furniture for 15 years, enjoying his time spent assembling furniture in their warehouse. Troy loved listening to music of any kind. He was a man of few words, but Troy always found ways to communicate with his family and especially his nephews and nieces how he loved them dearly. Troy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family: mother, Mavis Irvine; two sisters, Bonny Giesbrecht and Paulette Resendes; brother-in-law, Ernie Mullin as well as two nieces, Amanda Hjelemland and Charity Resendes (Tony Lourenco). He was predeceased by his father, Millin Irvine; brother, Kirk Irvine as well as a nephew, Justin Resendes.
