MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are back on the road Friday for a one stop only trip to Calgary where they will take on the Hitmen.

The Tabbies last game was at Co-Op place when they lost in overtime 3-2 at the hands of the Vancouver Giants. That leaving the hat on a three game losing streak headed into Friday’s contest.

This game will be the first of a back to back for the Tigers as they will head home Saturday to take on the Lethbridge hurricanes who they have outscored 14-5 in their two matchups this year.

The Hitmen come into Friday’s game on a four game win streak, with the last one being a 5-2 win over the Victoria Royals who The Tigers took a loss to on Oct. 29.

Their strong string of games has put Calgary second in the central division and tied for fourth in the eastern conference.

some of the top players for the Hitmen this year have been defenceman Grayden Siepmann who has four goals, and four assists to lead his team in points so far. As well Forward Riley Fiddler-Schultz who has fourteen points on the season, and is second in the CHL in the insurance goals category.

The goaltender who has started the most games for Calgary this year is Brayden Peters who currently holds a record of 5-2-1, and has a .927 save percentage placing him ninth among goaltenders in the WHL.

If the Tigers are able to grab a win the Friday night matchup it would move them from tenth in the east, into a tie for eighth. As well from fifth in the central division to fourth.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. from the Tsuut’ina Seven Chiefs Sportsplex in Calgary. You can hear all the action live on Wild 94.5 with voice of the Tigers Gino De Paoli.
