Perry was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he attended school and worked on his uncle’s farm. He moved to Alberta in 1983, where he had various jobs before entering the greenhouse business. Perry enjoyed golfing, watching hockey (Medicine Hat Tiger’s and Calgary Flames), and camping. He loved meeting new people and going for coffee. He lived with the daily challenges of Multiple Sclerosis throughout his adulthood. Despite his struggles, Perry held onto hope, he was lighthearted and had a great sense of humor.
