Rattlers return to the Snake Pit this weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB – It’s a big weekend for the Medicine Hat College Rattlers, who make their long-awaited return home.

Between seasons cancelled due to the COVID pandemic and work on Medicine Hat College’s Health, Wellness and Athletics expansion forcing them to the Family Leisure Centre it’s been more than two years since there’s been anything but exhibition games and practices at the Snake Pit.

The Rattlers volleyball teams open their 2022-23 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference schedules in their new and improved digs on Saturday, welcoming the Ambrose Lions.

The women’s game starts at 6 p.m. with the men’s game following at 8 p.m.

Next Friday, the basketball teams will play their home openers against the visiting SAIT Trojans. They are in Calgary tonight opening their regular season schedule against those same Trojans.

Outside the Snake Pit this weekend, the women’s soccer team hosts University of Alberta-Augustana on Saturday at 1 p.m. The women and men’s teams host Red Deer Polytechnic on Sunday beginning at noon.
