Merle Klaudt
November 3, 1956 ~ October 9, 2022
Merle Elroy Klaudt passed away at the ranch near Seven Persons on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 65 years. He will be greatly missed by his father, Herb Klaudt; brother, Marvin Klaudt; sister, Audrey (Russel) Trainer; nephew, Jaret (Danielle) Trainer as well as one aunt and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Klaudt in 1996; brother, Harold Klaudt in 2011 and his nephew, Justin Trainer in 2021. Anyone who got to know Merle, liked him. He had a contagious smile and found the humour in everything. His love of pets, especially dogs and cats, held a special place in Merle’s big heart. His favourite season was fall as he could spend hours spotting for wildlife. Merle was very proud of his hunting trophies which he had a collection of. Even if he went home without one, he would never let it worry him. He enjoyed many trips to the NFR as well as camping trips in the mountains. Ranching was Merle’s entire life in which he excelled to the best of his ability. He’d never be at the back of the round ups and always knew what had to be done. Throughout Merle’s life, he had many health setbacks, sometimes more than anyone knew but faced them head on and quietly. Merle was loved by many and will be greatly missed! A Private Graveside Service honouring Merle will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
