MEDICINE HAT, AB – On Tuesday, the seven candidates vying for the United Conservative Party leadership took part in the second of two debates.

CHAT News spoke with Medicine Hat College political scientist Jim Groom about the debate and what the next five weeks could hold for the candidates.

Mail-in ballots to choose the next UCP leader and Alberta’s next premier go in the mail on Friday. In-person voting takes place on Oct. 6 with the results announced later that day.
