Cypress County firefighter killed in traffic accident

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB – Cypress County is mourning the passing of firefighter Jacob Wall.

The county says Wall passed away in a traffic accident in B.C. on Aug. 15.

He was a member of the Box Springs and Redcliff fire stations.

In a statement, the county says Wall made an incredible impact and was dedicated to his family, friends, and the fire service.

Last evening while visiting with the family, Jacob’s mom said, “Jacob always put others before himself.” For example, last Saturday, there was a Box Springs member who needed assistance moving a couch at the last minute and Jacob was the first person there to help.
