1940 – Irene Hammel – 2022

Irene Beatrice Hammel passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of Tim Hammel of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Darwin (Elaine) Hammel and Holly (Bruce) Layton all of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Chandra (Brandon) Holtz and their children Carter and Maylie all of Calgary; Ashley (Tyler) Hirsh and their children Kypton and Bently all of Medicine Hat; Mitchell (Kelsie) Layton of Coalhurst and Brayden Layton of Medicine Hat; one sister Lena Sears of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Marianna and Michael Gutfriend; one granddaughter Jaylyn Layton; three brothers Albin, Val and Tom; two sisters Anna Marie and Jenny. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich officiating. The service will be live streamed.
