1928 ~ Edgar Hofer ~ 2022
On July 17, 2022, Edgar Hofer was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven at the age of 94. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister-in-law, Audrey Hofer; his two children, Earl (Jan) Hofer, and Ardeth (Mel) Wittke; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Olga in 2016; his parents, Jacob and Magdelina Hofer; his sister, Erna Stern; his sister, Hilda Schimpf; his brother, Jake Hofer; as well as 2 brother-in-laws.
He was born on April 7, 1928 in Neudorf, Russia. He immigrated to Canada as an infant with his family. Edgar was actively involved in his church where he met his wife, Olga. They were married for 67 years. Edgar and Olga moved from town to the farm in 1960, where they raised their family.
His family, his church, farming and community were his passion.
His love and laughter will be greatly missed. It was his solid faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that sustained him to his last breath.
Heaven has gained what we have lost…
A very special thank you to the staff at Chinook Village and MHRH for their loving care. Also a huge thank you to the family of Argo’s Restaurant, Pappi’s Restuarant and his circle of friends. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made to The Gideons.
Edgar will be miss by all that knew him.

The funeral service will be held in the Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Pahl officiating.
