It is with a heavy heart that Alice Holick, beloved wife of 58 years to Stan, announces his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. He passed away peacefully while in the loving presence of his family on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Along with Alice, Stan leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Debbie Holick (Marcel); son, Terry (Heather) Holick; son-in-law, Chester Wisnowski; grandchildren, Brooklyn Wilk, Arianna Wilk, Jessica Wisnowski and Ethan Holick. Stan is also survived by his brother, Frankie Hollick (Donna); sisters, Liz Campbell, Frances Buziak and Emily Lemecha; brother-in-law, Bill (Marg) Montgomery as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie Wisnowski; parents, Clara and Frank Holick as well as numerous siblings and other extended family. Stan was born in North Battleford, SK., on June 28, 1941. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces for 20 years, during which time he was presented with the Peace Keeping Medal for his military service. Stan became an accomplished chef during his time in the military and carried that love for cooking through into his retirement years. He was an avid outdoorsman who revelled in each opportunity to go camping, fishing or hunting. When Stan wasn’t enjoying the outdoors, he could often be found cheering on his Roughriders, Toronto Maple Leafs or New York Yankees. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge in Medicine Hat, having made many longlasting friendships there throughout the years. A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with a time of fellowship and refreshments immediately thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
