1948 – Daylce Swennumson – 2022

Dalyce Mae Swennumson (nee Simpson) went to her eternal resting place on May 11, 2022. She leaves behind the love of her life, Garth. Also mourning her loss are her three sons, Nathan (Darcey), Aaron (Melanie) and Shane (Julie. Her grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. She will be sadly missed by Taryn (Wes), Madelyn, Jillian, Jonah, Jori and Eastyn. Dalyce was born on May 24, 1948, to Delbert and Treasa Simpson and raised on the family farm together with her siblings Marla and Sheldon. She met Garth from the Conquerville area in 1966 in Bow island. After dating for some 2-1/2 years they were married on February 15, 1969. She graduated from St. Michael’s nursing school in 1969 and began her lifelong nursing career at Bow Island. She went on to work at the Alfred Egan Home for many years before retiring. Dalyce loved to garden and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful yard. She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. She loved her lap dogs, in particular she almost always had a dachshund by her side.

The family extends their sincerest thanks to Dr. Tawfeeq and the incredible staff at the Bow Island Hospital for the care they gave Dalyce.

The funeral service will be held in Zion Lutheran Church, (104 2nd Ave, Bow Island) on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James C. Bredeson officiating.
