MEDICINE HAT, AB – MyCityCare Medicine Hat has officially moved into its own permanent location in the back of Victory Lutheran Church

MyCityCare helps those in need by providing basic needs like clothing and food as well as offering initiatives like the cinderella shop and free birthday parties for children.

For this season, the space will be used as a Cinderella Project and tuxedo shop. High school graduates can come pick out an outfit for their special day as well as have access to hair, makeup and photography.

After graduation season, the space will be outfitted with kid, women’s and men’s clothing.

Shyla Maneschyn with MyCityCare Medicine Hat says they always accepting more donations.

“We will never say no to even more grad dresses, grad shoes, accessories, men’s suits and tuxedos,” Maneschyn said. “Even pantry items, we are in desperate need of pantry items to be able to give people the food support they need. As well, we need baby items.”

There’s a grand opening for the new location at Victory Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. MyCityCare will be hosting a street store with free clothing, food hampers as well as a light lunch.
