Melvin Martin
February 19, 1934 – Feb 08, 2022
As he has been called Home to be with his Father in Heaven, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melvin. Beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.
Melvin was predeceased by his parents Christian and Bertha, siblings; Herb (Viola), Ben (Doris), Esther (Bill) and Marvin (Marijke). He is survived by his niece, nephews and cousins.
Melvin enjoyed many things in his life but it is not hard to see that his love of God and family surpassed them all. He absolutely loved singing for the Lord in choirs and spending time with his siblings and their kids (although fishing may have been a close second). When he was fishing with his brothers, he needed nothing else.
Melvin was a faithful, reliable, hard-working man and was very proud of his work. He put on many miles working for Beny Motors for almost 40 years and was sad to see his life slow down, he always liked to be busy. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the PATTISON CHAPEL (540 S Railway St SE) . Masks are mandatary. The service will be live streamed, those who are unable to attend are invited to watch the service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time and will remain on the youtube page for future viewing. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
