MEDICINE HAT, AB – Alberta’s Minister of Education Adriana LaGrange was adamant that students and teachers would return to in-person learning after an extended Christmas break.

Almost a week and a half after classes returned, local school divisions are still managing to teach in-person despite high case counts.

Prairie Rose Public Schools says “So far, so good.” It has not had to move classes or schools online due to illness or absenteeism.

Medicine Hat Public School Division says it has had lots of staff absences but nothing they can’t cover so far and there have been no moves to online learning yet.
