1931 ~ Earl Gripp ~ 2021
Earl Gripp entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on December 2, 2021 at 90 years of age.
Earl was born August 1, 1931 to Emil and Erna Gripp in Lashburn, Saskatchewan. Earl gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 9 years together with his older brother Wally. Soon after, God planted in his heart a desire to serve in Africa. In 1952, he married his childhood sweetheart Selma Polisky. They attended Briercrest Bible College and went on to serve as missionaries in French Sudan (now Mali), France, Germany, Ottawa and Caronport.
They retired to Medicine Hat in 1994, where they continued to share their love for the Lord. Earl tenderly cared for Selma until her passing in 2008.
Earl is predeceased by his beloved Selma; his parents, Emil and Erna Gripp; and his siblings Rev.Wally and Hilma Gripp, Rev. Abe Taves, Dr. Sam Steeves and Rev. Mark and Rose Gripp. He is survived by his sister Agnes Steeves; sister-in-law Melita Gripp and many nieces and nephews who he prayed for daily and claimed as his own children. He was loved by many and will leave a large hole in many hearts.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Dave Squires officiating.
