EDMONTON, AB – Energy Minister Sonya Savage will travel to the United States to promote Alberta’s energy sector to international decision-makers, investors, and state legislators.

Savage will attend the World Petroleum Congress (WPC), a premier global oil and gas conference taking place in Houston, and will also attend the Energy Council Conference in New Orleans.

She says she wants to highlight the benefits of Canada’s energy sector.

“I am looking forward to promoting Alberta and our energy sector in the United States. Being a secure and stable source of energy, Alberta has a key role in supplying affordable, responsible, and reliable energy for North America and the world. I will be highlighting Alberta’s innovative and world-leading oil and gas industry and our province’s plan to pursue new and emerging sources of energy.”
