1941 ~ JOHN HEEBNER ~ 2021
John Walter Heebner passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 80 years. John was born on the family farm near Edenwold, Saskatchewan, the fourth of eight children. He was predeceased by his father, John; his mother, Hilda; two brothers, Gary (in infancy) and Delmer; and two sisters, Lolene and Evelyn. John is survived by his beloved wife, Audrey; two sons, Blaine (Karen), Brent (Sandra); five grandchildren, Ryan, Chelsea, Kaitlin, Nadine and Nikki; two step-grandchildren, James and Tanaya; ten great grandchildren (soon to be 11), one brother, David (Barbara); two sisters, Delrose (Henry), Linda (Arnold), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and his 4-legged “Pal” Charlee. At a young age the Heebner family moved off the farm to Regina, Saskatchewan where John received his education. At the age of 15, after his father’s death, John started working for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Livestock Division. He worked his way from a labor position up to the management level. His work required moving his family to several Livestock Pool locations throughout Saskatchewan. John remained at the Saskatchewan Pool Livestock Division for 40 years until his retirement in 1996 from the position of Manager of Marketing and Operations at Head Office. His most cherished life achievement was meeting Audrey Vollet in 1958. John and Audrey were married in June of 1959 and remained devoted to each other for over 62 years. A private family interment and memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
