1932 ~ Joseph Bolz ~ 2021

Joseph Peter Bolz passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the age of 88 years, beloved husband of Rosie Bolz of Medicine Hat after 59 years of marriage. He leaves to cherish his memory six children, Kevin (Nadine) Bolz, Debra (Mike) Harlow, Terrance (Rhonda) Bolz, Brian (Debbie) Bolz, Melinda Bolz (Erik Van deKempe), Shawn (Raven) Bolz; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brothers-in-law, Edward (Rosaline) Bartsch and Robert Bartsch; one sister-in-law, Lois as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lenna and Carl Bolz; three sisters, Mary (Aldin) Gray, Rose Wenzel and Anne (Art) Lees and brother-in-law, Roy Bartsch. Joe was a jack of all trades, farmer, livestock shipper, carpenter and mechanic. He was a “pusher” when something had to be done. Joseph loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his younger years he was in a marching band and also played in a dance band until he went blind. He was the life of the party, and always enjoyed getting a crowd to laugh with his jokes. He will be missed by all who knew him. The funeral service will be held at a later date.
