Advance voting day in Cypress County

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB- Residents in Cypress County who are wanting to cast their votes early are headed to the polls today.

Advance polling takes place from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Cypress County office, located at 816 2nd avenue Dunmore.

An election will take place in wards two, three, four, five, six, and seven.

Wards one, eight, and nine are acclaimed, with Michelle Mckenzie, Shane Hol and Alf Belyea maintaining their roles as councillors.

Cypress County said on Facebook that voters in acclaimed wards can still head to the polls to vote for the Senate and referendum.

Ballots for the Prairie Rose School Division will be available at the Dunmore voting station on October 18.

Medicine Hat Catholic and Public school division ballots will be at the Dunmore and Desert Blume voting stations, also on Oct. 18.
