NDP says Kenney should kick unvaccinated MLAs out of caucus

The Opposition New Democrats say Alberta Premier Jason Kenney needs to set a good example by ensuring all his caucus members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Deputy NDP house leader Thomas Dang says any United Conservative MLA who is not vaccinated should be kicked out of caucus.

Dang says all New Democrat MLAs have received both doses but it’s unclear how many U-C-P members have been vaccinated.

Kenney says the government is pursuing mandatory vaccinations or proof of negative tests for all members of the legislature but there are constitutional issues that must be worked out.
