Make ‘bee bombs’ at Police Point Park

Sep 16, 2021 | 10:25 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Interpretive Centre is putting the finishing touches on this season by making “bee bombs.”

Native wildflower seeds have been gathered this summer and on Saturday you’ll be able to roll the seeds into soil and clay to make the bee bombs. They can then be planted in your own garden to establish wildflower-friendly greenspaces.

Native wildflowers are accustomed to the region’s climate and will thrive once established.

There will be a variety of species of wildflowers to choose from at this hands-on event.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event where donations will be welcomed.

The event will happen near the River View Point, west of the Nature Centre between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

For more information visit natureline.info, find Police Point Park on social media (@policepointpark) or call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225.
