1955 ~ Allan Krassman ~ 2021
Allan Blake Krassman was born on September 26, 1955 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Victor and Mary Krassman. Allan has two siblings, one brother Mark Krassman, and his sister Victoria Krassman (Jerry Shaw). As an adolescent Al was very talented in a wide array of fields. He was an accordion player growing up, and in addition to traditional accordion songs such as Roll Out the Barrel, Al could also rock out tunes like smoke on the water, any and all Led Zeppelin songs, as well as all the hits from his favorite band Three Dog Night. Al was very athletic and excelled at sports. It was noted that Al was the only kid in the neighborhood who could throw a rock across the south Saskatchewan river. Others would note that if you wanted to see a show of speed, you could catch Al darting across the streets of Riverside narrowly beating cars racing down the street. It was said that Al never lost a foot race, earning him the nickname Flash. As Al transitioned into adulthood, he worked a variety of laborer jobs. Whether it was masonry work, construction, or in the beef processing plant, Al never minded rolling up his sleeves. He was known for his incredible strength and on several occasions moved grand pianos up several fights of stairs by himself. Many people remember Al from the YMCA. He became an avid weight trainer/ body builder. Al also had an insatiable love for his dog Timber. In his later years, you could always find Al at the downtown Tim Hortons. He would always greet everyone with a smile/ friendly demeanor, and could amaze you with his unbelievable knowledge of statistics. Whether you knew him as Al, Flash, or Big Al, people always had a fond story to share about him. Allan, may you always have the running shoes you want on your feet, a dry path in front of you, and a smile for everyone you meet. May you always have the wind to your back and run in heaven forever. Keep looking down on us as we go through life’s endeavors and when we see a flash run across the sky, we will know in our hearts that you are forever near by. There remains no restrictions as to the size of gatherings, therefore everyone is invited to the funeral service that will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich. Masks are mandatory. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
