Marco Jansen has been a Flight Service Specialist with NAV Canada for over thirty years.  His role combines Air Traffic Controller and weather specialist.

He is also the local Shop Steward for Unifor Local 2245 (ATSAC).

Jansen is not new to politics.  He was a member of the Wildrose/UCP Constituency Association from 2012 until February of this year.

He describes himself as a fiscal conservative who sees the need for the City to be run cost effectively.

Local issues that are important to Jansen include the waterfront district development and the number of city committee meetings that are closed to the public.
