Alison Van Dyke

Alison Van Dyke grew up just outside Medicine Hat on a mixed conventional farm.  She is married with two teenage daughters.

Van Dyke says she is fiercely proud of Medicine Hat and passionate in her advocacy work through her career as the Food Security Coordinator with Community Food Connections Association.

Van Dyke says the pandemic changed the way many people worked and big city living is no required.

She believes now is the time to attract new residents or entice back those who moved away.

She wants to create a community filled with social prosperity by providing recreational opportunities, robust government and public services, and an equitable, diverse, and inclusive culture focused on social development.
