It is with heavy hearts that the family of Annette Rosina Huisman announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the age of 90 years. Annette was born on January 3, 1931, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Annette was a lady who loved people and enjoyed her coffee and tea time with friends. Her family was most important to her and she was particularily fond of her grandchildren. Annette will be remembered by her children, Dianne (Don) Zachary and Dennis (Deanna) Huisman; grandchildren, Stephen (Robyn) Zachary and Ian (Carla) Zachary; Justin Huisman and Matthew (Raylene) Huisman as well as 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Alois and Bernard Gechter and her parents, Ralph and Alice Gechter. In honour of Annette’s life, a Private Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery with Murray Jaster officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
