Heat warnings still in effect, air quality statements being issued
MEDICINE HAT, AB – With the province already blanketed by heat warnings, air quality statements are now being issued for the western parts of Alberta.
The Medicine Hat-Bow Island-Suffield area and those further south and east have so far escaped an air quality statement.
The same can’t be said for Brooks-Strathmore-Vulcan.
Environment Canada issued a statement on Thursday morning, saying smoke from wildfires in B.C. is causing poor air quality and reducing visibility.
