What a beautiful and emotional evening we had at Sam’s Place for our 7th Motivational Mondays in Winnipeg. From the very start our endearing entertainer Gentil Missigaro – musician and passionate champion for immigrants to Canada had the packed house in the palm of his hands. With humor and heart he somehow got this crowd to sing a love song for Manitoba which, in itself was worth the price of admission!
“When you’re afraid of being killed most of your life, winter isn’t that bad.” – Gentil Misigaro
Based on his life experiences, you might expect Gentil to be bitter, frightened, and confrontational. In actuality, Gentil is quite the opposite. As his name connotes, Gentil is gentle and good. “I want to be a light for those who can’t be seen, a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves – to provide hope for the hopeless, and serve as an encouragement,” said Gentil. His musics speaks of hope, love, justice, unity and peace and so did he!
