A Hatter That Matters: Vickie Montan

Apr 9, 2021 | 5:16 PM

Vickie Montan was nominated by Shelby.

Not only is Shelby an amazing front-line healthcare worker, who’s loved by all of her residents, friends, and family, she also goes above and beyond within the Medicine Hat community, Shelby says.

In her spare time, you’ll find her crocheting baby toques/hats that she donates to the Medicine Hat Labour and Delivery ward.

If you’ve had a newborn recently, those adorable hats put on your sweet little ones when they’re born, were more than likely made by with love by Vickie.

She really does put her heart and soul into all of her work and absolutely loves seeing all the photos of the newborn babies wearing her hats.

Her efforts go unnoticed because she donates them without recognition, but she deserves all the recognition in the world for being such an outstanding lady.

She really is an amazing person and deserves the world, adds Shelby. She really is a Hatter that Matters.

Throughout this pandemic, there have been Hatters on the front lines.

Health-care workers, first responders, grocery store employees, truckers and others.

We want to recognize their efforts.
