In a release, the YMCA of Medicine Hat says its goal is to have services return to normal as soon as it is reasonable and safe to do so.
The Y is offering affordable COVID memberships at a cost of $15 for two weeks and also offers financial assistance for those who need it.
“We believe that physical health is crucial to mental health,” said Sharon Hayward, CEO. “By removing financial barriers, the YMCA is living its value of inclusiveness. The re-opening of the South Ridge facility will provide the community with more affordable opportunities to improve their health and well-being.”
