MEDICINE HAT, AB – Mandi Campbell is one of a few candidates to throw their hat in the ring this month for this fall’s municipal election.

She is running for a seat on city council.

Campbell has been a member of the Medicine Hat Police Commission since 2017.

“My time on Police Commission has really broadened my horizons to understand the complexities of budgets and how important policing is in our community. And I feel my experience on Police Commission definitely helps me with that and would help me going forward on council if I was elected,” she told Chat News.

She also served on the Urban Parks and Recreation Board in 2015.

Campbell is a real-estate agent with REMAX and has lived in Medicine Hat and area for the last 20 years.

She has a broad interest in the city and wants to advocate for the taxpayer.

Campbell says she loves the city and being involved in the community.

“Promote growth and enhance the Medicine Hat advantage. I’m a big advocate of our parks and trails. I take a lot of interest in new development, new businesses, I love our breweries, the restaurants, the new coffee shops that have come downtown. I’m really interested to see what happens in the riverfront development.”
