Darren Edward Lee Grey passed away suddenly in Sarnia, Ontario on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the age of 44 years. Darren’s memory will be forever cherished by his daughters, Tierra (Raistlin), Kaitlynn and McKenna; partner, Dena and her children, Breanna and Brooke; sister, Hayley and her children, Clark, Ava and Scarlett; aunt, Elaine as well as numerous cousins, friends and union brothers. Darren was predeceased by his father, Edward Grey. At the age of 16, he enlisted in the British Army for one year. After moving to the Calgary area at the age of 17, Darren became a skilled welder and was a member of the local union 496. He was very proud of his welding skills. Darren loved to sing, dance, cook and have a great time… always being the life of the party. Darren’s true love were his girls. Time spent with them meant the world to him as he was a kid at heart himself. Darren’s love of life and genuine personality will be forever missed! Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, February 4, 2021, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Private Celebration of Darren’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Murray Jaster officiating.
