Canada steamrolls Germany 16-2 at world juniors as P.A. connection makes impression
EDMONTON — Dylan Cozens scored a hat trick and had three assists in Canada’s 16-2 win over Germany to open the world junior men’s hockey championship Saturday.
Meanwhile, Prince Albert Raider blue liner Kaiden Guhle and P.A.’s Braden Schneider made an impact on this first instalment, although for very different reasons.
Dawson Mercer, Philip Tomasino, Alex Newhook and Peyton Krebs each scored twice for the host country.
Guhle – with the game’s opening goal – along with Ryan Suzuki, Jakob Pelletier, Thomas Harley and Connor McMichael also scored for Canada.
