Charges laid after RCMP vehicle rammed in Rosemary

ROSEMARY, AB – Bassano RCMP say a police vehicle was intentionally rammed on Dec. 20 and a 56-year-old female has been charged in the incident.

RCMP were responding to a 911 call.

“The suspect had called 911 and allegedly threatened to kill police,” say RCMP in a release. “The female suspect was located in a vehicle and during the investigation, she repeatedly rammed the occupied RCMP police vehicle. The female suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody without incident.”

No injuries were sustained by the officer or the suspect.

The suspect from the County of Rocky View has been charged with:

  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Uttering threats
  • Mischief over $5,000

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court in Brooks on Jan.20.
