Slow speed pursuit of stolen skid steer results in damage to police cruiser and fire department vehicle

MEDICINE HAT — A police cruiser suffered heavy damage as it tried to stop a stolen skid steer last night.

Police say it began with a family dispute and that led to the theft of the skid steer shortly after 9 a.m.

A fire department member saw the skid steer and tried to intervene before the vehicle was pushed out of the way.

Police joined the slow speed pursuit and the cruiser was damaged in an effort to get the driver to stop.
