She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Janice (Robert) Burns and Darrell (Sandra) Jesse; three grandchildren, Shane (Alicia) Burns, Tyler (Amy) Jesse and Ryan (Ashley) Jesse; three great grandchildren, Annabelle and Greyson Jesse, and Brayden Burns; two sisters, Ruth (Marvin) Bossert and Thelma (Earl) Good; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore (Ted) Jesse; her parents Christian and Eva Maier; her grandson Dalton Jesse; her brothers, Reinhold, Paul, Oscar, Alvin, Elmer and Ernest Maier; her sisters, Viola Maier and Esther Walter; and her son-in-law Robert Burns. Lenora was born on January 27, 1925 at Surprise, Saskatchewan. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Horsham and received her education at Green Corn School. On October 24, 1947, she married Ted Jesse at Peace Lutheran Church in Schuler. Throughout her entire life Lenora was a faithful member of her church. Together, Ted and Lenora farmed the family homestead for 28 years. They moved to Medicine Hat in 1974 and sold the farm the following year. Lenora enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting. gardening and playing cards, as well as camping in their motor home. Lenora’s grandchildren were the light and love of her life. This was expressed each Christmas when her grandsons were gifted with an ice cream pail each of her homemade gingerbread men. We are at peace knowing that Mom has been reunited with Dad and her Heavenly Father. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 1:00 – 1:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Church (515 Sprague Way SE) on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
