1933 ~ Emily Aldred ~ 2020

Emily Jean Aldred of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the age of 86 years, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Aldred. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, Scott Aldred, Kim (Sharlene) Aldred, Keith Aldred and Karel (Ken) Mason; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Karen (Jared), Kenneth, James (Aimie), Brendon (Faith), Randa (Justin), Mark, Ami and Erin; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Josephine Aldred as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Myrtle Sangster; her husband, Ken on April 23, 2016 and daughter, Karen Aldred. Emily was born on July 16, 1933 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She went to Montreal Street School and Alexandra Composite High. Emily attended First Baptist and Temple Baptist Church. Throughout the years she was employed at the Bank of Montreal, Hat Grocery, Robinson’s and Woolworths/Woolco/Bargain Shop. Emily volunteered with the Neighborhood Kitchen, Scouts Canada for twenty-five plus years, and various jobs at the church. A private family funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob McGougan and Rev. Robert Findley officiating . Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID – 19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 50 attendees including family. Family and friends are invited to remotely attend the funeral service through live streaming on our Facebook page – Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium. Private family interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
