COVID-19: 39 new cases, Medicine Hat cases remain unchanged

EDMONTON, AB- The province of Alberta is reporting 39 new cases of COVID -19 across the province.

The province is reporting one more death, bringing the number of deaths in the province to 128.

Ninety-eight deaths have been reported in the Calgary zone, 12 in the Edmonton Zone, 15 in the North Zone, eight in the South Zone and one in the central zone.

The province’s active case count stands at 1,036.

There are 109 active cases in the in the South Zone and 1093 have recovered.

In Medicine Hat, there are 35 confirmed cases of the virus. Five are active and 30 have recovered.

The city of Brooks has 74 active cases– down from 80 yesterday. The city has seen a total of 1090 cases of the virus and 1009 have recovered so far. The number of deaths remains at seven.

Elsewhere in the South Zone, the County of Newell has 14 cases of the virus. Three are active and 11 have recovered.

Cypress County has 10 confirmed cases. Three are active and seven are recovered.

The City of Lethbridge has 23 confirmed cases. Six are active and 17 have recovered.

Recoveries have continued to rise province-wide. Of the 6,683 cases throughout the province 5,519 have recovered.
