1928 ~ Alma Schneider ~ 2020

Alma Schneider passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 91 years, beloved wife of Adolf Schneider of Redcliff. They recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Erika (Wayne) Street, Erhard Schneider and Bertram Schneider; five grandchildren, Adina (Blair), Marcy (Steve), Willy, Laura (Evan) and Andy (Chelsea); four great grandchildren, Cody, Cam, Tim and Ben; her sister, Hilma (Jake) Schlenker; sisters-in-law, Line Gill and Erna Gill as well as numerous nieces and nephews and long time friends. Alma enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings, particularly with vegetables grown in her garden. No birthday was complete without Oma’s special birthday cake. Travelling and camping were favourite pastimes. She loved singing with the Harmonie Choir, of which she was a member from 1968 until it disbanded in 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Dorothea Gill; her brothers, Waldemar Gill, Helmut Gill, Emil (Sandy) Gill, Arthur Gill and Herbert Gill in infancy; her sisters, Ella (Oskar) Fried and Adele (Max) Schwabe. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday from 12:00 – 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.
