EDMONTON, AB — The Alberta government has announced changes to how residents can watch Oral Question Period.

When the next Legislature sitting occurs next week, Albertans will have the opportunity to watch the proceedings live on YouTube (YouTube.com/user/Alberta Legislature), Facebook (@LegAssemblyofAB) and Twitter (@LegAssemblyofAB).

Full coverage will remain on Assembly TV and Assembly Online, which can be accessed here.

“Albertans have a vested interest in the proceedings that take place in the Legislative Assembly Chamber as the important decisions made here can affect their daily lives,” said Nathan Cooper, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, in a statement. “I am pleased that Albertans have even more options for viewing the proceedings.”

The Alberta legislature resumes on February 25, with Lieutenant Governor Lois Mitchell delivering the Speech from the Throne.

The United Conservative Party will table its budget on February 27.
