Medicine Hat man facing additional charges for alleged sexual offences

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A 26-year-old Medicine Hat man is facing more charges for alleged sexual offences.

Cody Herrell appeared in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on Thursday, where the new charges were added.

The four charges include sexual contact with a minor, invitation to sexual touching with a minor, child luring, and making child pornography.

Herrell was previously charged with sexual assault, bestiality and multiple child pornography offences in September, following an investigation by the Medicine Hat Police Service and the Internet Child Exploitation unit.

At the time of the arrest, police said their investigation revealed alleged sexual offences committed against at least one unidentified child, believed to be known to him.
