Fuel limits lifted at Co-op card locks
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Fuel restrictions in place at Co-op card locks across Western Canada have been lifted.
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), the parent company of Co-op, announced Thursday morning that the daily limits on cards of 300 litres of diesel and 100 litres of gasoline, are no longer in effect.
The limits were put in place as a result of blockades at the Regina Co-op Refinery and the fuel terminal in Carseland, Alberta in late January and early February.
FCL implemented the fuel restrictions saying they were concerned about fuel supplies running low due to the blockades.
