Magdalena Elizabeth Herter 1929 - 2017

Magdalena Elizabeth Herter passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at the age of 87 years, beloved wife of the late Herbert Herter. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Carol Tompkins of Redcliff and Randy (Josee) Herter of Dunmore; six grandchildren, Sean (Tracy) Herter, Chad Herter, Cory Herter, Ryan Herter, Kim (Steven) Soldaat, and Angela (German) Linares; nine great grandchildren, Jennessa, Altas, Tytan, Zachary, Tyler, Kira, Sarah, Dejora and Qix; two great great grandchildren, Carson and Kinsley; five sisters-in-law, Florence Heinz, Margaret Heinz, Jeanette Heinz, Ruby Heinz and Clara Heinz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Cecilia Heinz; her husband, Herbert on October 3, 2004; her brothers, John Heinz, Louis Heinz, Pete Heinz, Joe (Cecilia) Heinz, Adam (Mildred) Heinz, Gabe (Mary) Heinz, Walter Heinz, Henry Heinz and Farrius Heinz and his sisters, Barbara (Mike) Michalezki and Katie (Peter) Deis.
Magdalena was born on November 18, 1929 in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan. She and Herbert were married on February 2, 1952. After the birth of her children, Magdalena worked at Medalta Pottery for many years. She loved playing Bingo and spending hours working outside in her garden and going to Redcliff Bakery every morning. Being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren was a great joy to her. Magdalena’s favorite times were those spent with her family and her Sunday family suppers. A huge thank you to all the staff at Riverview for all the care they provided to our mom and gramma. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Save Old Souls K-9 Rescue, P.O.
