Audrah Maayefield of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Audrah leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Dena Farrell of Medicine Hat and Brenda Stuart of Milbay, BC; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special friends, Lance Tayler, Jenica Caldwell, Kory Calvert, Shelagh Greene, and Daren Jansen. Audrah was predeceased by her parents, William and Dora Ross. Audrah was an extraordinary woman of character and substance. She surmounted her own personal tragedies to become a Doctor of Philosophy and Spiritual Teacher. She lived by the principles she taught – love, goodwill, compassion, humility, and service to others. She believed in the oneness of all humanity and our responsibility to each other. Audrah touched the hearts of all she met, with her humour, wisdom and love and inspired us to want to be better, kinder human beings. Alas her work here is done, but she leaves the world a better place. She will be sorely missed, but will live on in the hearts of her daughters, students, many dear friends and her beloved canine companion, Dexter, who were all privileged to know and love her. A Private Family Time of Remembrance will be held. Memorial gifts in Audrah’s memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 201, 9452 – 51st Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 5A6. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Audrah Maayefield.
