Michael “Mike” Henry Schneider of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of the late Violet Schneider. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Melinda (Glen) Flaig, Yvonne (Philip) Scott and Greg (Shauna) Schneider; his grandchildren, Nathan, Jason (Tinna), Chantel, Jordan (Beth), Danielle, Devlin and Destinee; and five great grandchildren, Domanick, Chloe, Savannah, Ryker and Westynn; one sister, Ann (Tony) Unreiner and two brothers, Ben (Irene) Schneider and Adam (Irene) Schneider. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Francisca Schneider; his wife, Violet; one daughter, Yvette in infancy and one brother, Joseph. Mike was born in the Golden Prairie, Saskatchewan area where he raised his family and lived his whole life until 2001. He then semi-retired to Medicine Hat where he enjoyed having coffee with family and friends. Mike had a love for farming and model airplanes which he both built and flew, winning a trophy at the mall for the best looking plane. Mike will be sadly missed by his family and fondly remembered by farming neighbors and friends. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Friday June 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr.
