Mr. Henry Huisman, beloved husband of Marie, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the age of 88 years. Along with Marie, Henry’s memory will be forever cherished in the heart of his son, Dennis (Deanna) Huisman and their children, Justin, Matthew (Raylene); daughter, Dianne (Don) Zachary and their children, Stephen (Robyn) and Ian (Carla); two stepsons, Jason Fraser and his children, Reigh-Ann, Emily, Joshua and their mother, Catherine as well as Michael Fraser; eight great-grandchildren; Marie’s sister, Evelyn Aspenleider as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his granddaughter, Alexander; parents; sisters, Irene and Denie; two half-siblings; three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law. Henry was born in Lethbridge, AB. on November 27, 1928 and lived most of his life in the Burdett / Foremost areas before settling in Medicine Hat. Henry was a car salesman for 26 years. He loved coaching baseball, however, his passion was golfing. Henry will be remembered for his witty sense of humour and his love for barbecuing a good steak. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Henry’s life will be honoured and his memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral.
